So i finally got glasses after years of denying i needed them this past sunday. Its great being able to see, but it still feels weird/slightly uncomfortable wearing them. How long did it take for you to stop noticing them, and get used to them?

I first got glasses @ 27. It also corrected my depth perception problem. If I wear them walking around, I'll get sick because I refuse to keep them on outside of using the computer.

I would go to contacts or lasik as soon as i was ready though.
Contacts are expensive because i have an astigmatism. I know the chances of my eyes getting fucked up from lasik are VERY slim, but it still freaks me out.

I had lasik years and years ago, but I noticed while driving at night, if I wear my girlfriend's glasses, things are a lot clearer/less light halos. I'm sure it has something to do with my astigmatism that her barely a prescription fixes.
Other than that, I don't need glasses, but wore them from childhood until I was in my 20s. It takes some time, but wear them as often as you can, and you'll get used to them within a few months.
Post your baller frames I've been thinking about taking my gf's glasses to the store to get another pair, but in frames that actually fit my face.

I've had glasses now since 97 or 98 (freshman in HS) and I honestly dont even notice them. Sometimes I will go to rub my eye and stick my finger right into the lens. You get used to them pretty quick, and honestly now I feel like I look wierd if I am not wearing them. Just becomes second nature after a while, and you dont even notice them. I am funny about shit going in my eyes, hence no contacts and lasik also freaks the shit out of me!
I actually have two pairs, one regular and one that are sunglasses, and if I come into work with my sunglasses on and take them off in the building and dont put on my regular ones, people always say i look different or wierd without glasses.
If you need them all the time, I highly recommed two pairs, the transition lenses suck if you are in a car because they need the UV to change colors, and most auto glass is uv shielded so they dont change/get dark enough.2009 Mercedes C63 AMG

they are 54mm so they're plenty wide.

I've been wearing glasses since I was 5 (1989) See my avatar for reference. Currently, I am -8.5 in one eye. and -9.0 in the other.
It's just something that takes time to get used to. I wear contacts occasionally but because of my allergies they dry out real quick.
