the lighter frames you have, the less you will notice them. I had a set of titanium silhouettes and sometimes i would forget i had them on.
Cheaper glasses are typically heavier. Make sure your bridge piece feels comfortable. Did they professionally fit the glasses to you when you got them made?
Just think of it like any other habit forming thing, like brushing your teeth or flossing. It feels weird but you get used to it and it becomes part of the daily routine soon enough.

I dont really like the thin metal framed glasses.

I had mine fit and everything. they're physically comfortable, it's just the distortion and feeling like I'm in a fish bowl that fucks me up

it's not the frames, it's the lenses. I've gone 30+yrs without having corrective lenses in front of me. feels like I'm in a fish bowl... yes, what's directly in front of me is crystal clear, but everything else feels wonky and feels like it's going to give me a headache
