  • Another hit and run...

My coworker's mother was involved in a hit and run this morning. The only info she has is that was a red Explorer license number DV8-KBW. They have reported it to the police but were hoping to try to find some contact info for the other driver to speed the process along.

Any help would be appreciated, feel free to PM if you are more comfortable with that.

    Thanks!

Yeah, I was just looking at that info on the Harris County website. He beat his wife last year, was put on probation back in April on that Felony, and then was harassing her at the end of August, so it looks like he now has a warrant out for that as of Friday. The address they listed on the arrest was different but that one was a extended stay hotel. Really classy dude.

I don't need any more info, thanks guys. My coworker's mother is just going to let the police handle this one on their own. This guy is obviously a criminal who is about to do jail time, she has no desire to attempt to contact him.

FWIW the accident did happen in Katy, which is where his ex lives and where one of his addresses was.

Get in an accident and haul ass = standard procedure these days.

Can she file it under her uninsured motorist coverage?

Katy used to be a nice place to live, now it's just a shit hole.

Depends. Her insurer will have to confirm if: (a) the claimant is indeed at fault, and (b) the claimant doesn't have an active insurance policy on the vehicle.
