  • You can't math? Then don't fly!

    Video at link:

Guy tries to fly a Cessna T310R from Monterey, CA to Hilo, HI.

    2315 miles, straight shot.

The plane has a published max range of 2300 miles.

Wanna guess how far he made it before running out of fuel?

    2302 miles.

Had to ditch in the Pacific 13 miles short while being filmed by a Coast Guard C-130 (whom he radioed 400 miles earlier to say he was running low on fuel) then got picked up by a CG helo

    LMFAO!

Auxiliary fuel tanks can't cost THAT much. Hell you can almost buy 'em for scrap now a days, I'd imagine.

Plus a unforeseeable headwind could land ur a$$ in the Pacific even if you had the range. Stupid move times a million.

                      Quoteworthy.

Hopefully he was injured in the crash to the point where he will not being able to breed.

                        Wasn't even his plane either...

"Colleagues identified him as an employee of American King Air Services Inc., who was hired to ferry the Cessna from Monterey, California to Hilo, Hawaii."
