Samsung. I've got three of them.

Same here. I bought a new 60" back in June and bumped the 52" into the master bedroom and bumped that 40" to the guest bedroom. I am going to buy two more smaller tv's when they go on sale the end of the year for the garage and workout/gun room in the house. Both will be Samsungs.

I have had nothing but bad luck with Sony products. I will never buy another.

Bought a 60" Plasma Panasonic for around around 1400. Once my irritation level drops, I'll start dealing with Sony about this boat anchor in my living room.

If you bought the Sony from Costco, you should be able to get it fixed or replaced. Sony gives a 1 year manufacturers warranty, and Costco adds another year of warranty. If the TV is less than 2 years old, you should be good.

Costco carries the 60" Sharp that jluv mentioned. I put one in at my parents has a few months ago, it is an awesome set.

Costco only extends the warrant if you buy the extended warranty and pay with an Anerican Express card. Like Tyrone said, electronics is only 90 days.


Sooo, after Sony fixes the broke-ass TV, I'll give $50 for it since you hate it so much!

Do not buy a Sharp, the picture looks like crap.

I was close to buying one until i actually went to the store to check it out.
Yeah they are cheaper( which is why i wanted to get one ) but the picture quality is ass if you look at it side to side with another brand.

I own a 60inch Sony LED, no issues. Samsung is a great brand also. I owned a Vizio 42 inch plasma back in 07. Another decent brand that i was surprised with.

Dont get a 3d tv unless you feel like wearing retarded glasses all the time.

It would be cheaper to buy your tv online, but i was in the same boat with you and just went to the store instead.
