Any Radar Detector Hookups?

If you have an old Escort unit, they'll refund $80 towards the purchase of a new one. If you have any other brand, I think it's like $40. But you have to order direct through them.

i have travelled all over the country. in fact, i got back from michigan about 2 hours ago. i know there are other detectors that do a good job, but i use a valentine one. i bought it used from EW. since i have owned it, i have not gotten a speeding ticket. and i promise you i speed at least as much as anyone on this site. i constantly set my cruise on 85 and the valentine has alerted me every single time i have been in danger. you have to use some sense though, as the cops that use instant-on can get you very quickly. the valentine is good against laser, k, ka, and x. and probably more, but i do not have the knowledge to tell you more. get with EW for any questions you have...

and as has been said, go ahead and invest in a valentine. YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID.

I have the Escort 9500ci, had it for two years and it has warned me well in advance of police on radar, before Sept. 1st I had laser jamming, and that worked really well. Since then it has been on laser warning, still works great, but now I have less time to react. If you are traveling 15-20 over speed limit you are good, outside of that it depends on what's around you and how fast you can decelerate.
The dash units don't work well for laser shifting or detection, the custom installed ones are much better.

for real... join the forum and learn the programing tricks from A, l, L . it will pay for itself as mine did. i made it from plano to myrtle beach in 15 hours the first weekend i had mine....

People with radar detectors get complacent, and I use instant on. I'm not waving it around broadcasting a signal, I'm specifically targeting vehicles that are obviously going excessively over the limit. Remember, I'm targeting the 20+ mph over on the freeways, and it's really obvious to the stationary eye.
