ok so i found out. that i didn't get promotion i was hoping for. instead i get called in the office, by my store manager and district manager. asking my to train the guy who got the position, he's only been with the company for 2 years. i've been with em for 8 years,
he's a stocker. im a front end MGR, the position is for asst. store manager/safety MGR,

im just mad for the fact. that i already know the job inside/out. and for theme to aske me to show this guy what to do, is an insult to me.... has this happened to anyone else?

Ability has more do do with promotions than tenure. Hell, I fired the laziest sack of shit I've ever worked with back in April, and he managed to be withvthe company almost NINE years..

Sucks that it happened. Did you bring up the issue you have with the District Manager? if it bothers you that bad, why not contact corporate and state your case? I have seen that work a few times.
