Reason #572 I became a manager; so I could avoid those type of dishits. They still exsist further up the ladder, but aren't nearly as bad. It's funny how much less bullshit I have to put up with running the show, and most people further down the line think it is a hard job.

I will agree that shit rolls down hill, and I know he is getting it from his boss and so on, it's just the attitude that portrays.
I love the job, and I have fun doing it, but it is just degrading to hear that every day. I'd be ok if it was maybe once a week, just as a swift kick in the ass to get people going, but daily it gets quite irritating.
Kyle, more power to you! I could have used you last week when my alternator shat itself on the way to work monday morning. Made for one shitty last week of the month! lol
Anyways, back to the grind....glad I'm not the only one that has to deal with this!2009 Mercedes C63 AMG

To me, being a good manager/boss does not entail instilling fear into your employees, but rather motiviating through encouragement, constructive criticism, and focusing on what we can do to improve, not hounding on the stuff that went wrong, then calling everyone lazy, worthless, and telling them that if they dont get their act together, they can find another job.
To me, if I am in the shitter already, being put down and stomped on is not going to make me want to work any harder, it's quite the opposite. I just want to sit around and do nothing to spite him.
My idea: Hey guys, last month sucked, but it was last month and it's over. No need to fester over it. This is a new month, lets pick up the pace, have some fun, and blow our goal out of the water.
Is that so hard to say?
OK, I'm done ranting now...
I hate people who motivate out of fear of discipline.

Nope, in the wonderful world of cars....
boss is a car guy, always has been, always will be. assholes and elbows is his favorite saying lol.
I've been in the car biz for awhile, about 6 years at a dealership in WI before coming down here. I started in sales, then moved into finance, also took over the internet sales dept, was a floor/sales mgr, a backup service writer, and still sold here and there during the last three years.
It's what I know, and what I enjoy...so I just have to suck it up and deal with it. Hoping to move back into finance soon, just had to get back into sales and work my way back up the ladder unfortunately.2009 Mercedes C63 AMG
