  • Title transfer help

I bought an old Suburban that had the last title transfer in '77. I have the title and the guy signed it but it has a spot for a notary. I know today it doesn't have to be notarized so do I still need this one done or can I just take it in with his signature on it?

I had a spot on mine for my 77 Cobra. I didn't even notice it until they told me I needed it notarized. I'd just do it to save time for a possible second trip. I just ran over to my insurance agent and she threw her stamp on it.

thanks for the info. My only problem is its already signed by the previous owner so I have to find a notary that knows me I guess. Just trying to get out the easy way!

Ya, I told me agent the same thing since the previous owner was in Kansas. She didn't care.

You don't need it notarized. Make sure the seller signed it and fill out a 130-U. Take it to the tax office and transfer it over.
