I am sorry for your loss. My mother lost her battle with cancer on sept 16, so I know how it is to watch a parent go through so much pain before they die. Try to take comfort in the fact he is no longer in pain and is in a much better place. That has helped me tremendously deal with her passing.

Exactly. It's going to be real tough for probably at least the first year. I lost my father in Oct. of 2009 and still find myself grieving heavily every now and again. Especially this time of year...
