I wish I had some people to hunt with up here. Everyone is scared to hang around me when guns are involved.

Is it as dependable and as good range on the motion? Curious about it, that is a great improvement on megapixels. I never have any missnaps, a tree or bush blowing and setting off camera. If i have 30 pictures I have 30 good deer pictures or pigs.

So far, yes. But I have only had it for a week or so now. The only problem I have with it as well as the Primos 35 is that they don't always take pictures. Seems like sometimes nothing sets off the motion detector. The stealth cam did this to me at the lease when I had 2 deer in my feeder for 15/20 minutes. Not one pic of them was taken. But I have had the exact thing happen with me with the Primos 35. I haven't taken the Primos to the field yet, but goofing with it at home, it will take pics for a while and then just stop for some odd reason. Weird really. I plan on doing some investigating to see why the cameras are doing this.

But, as far as quality pics that you can zoom with some clairity...the stealth cam is much better. Primos has better mega pixel cameras as well. I just don't have any experience with them yet.

Having said this. I understand that anything above 5 mega pixel is a waist. Dont think I believe that, but its the going word.

Although i will not be cleaning it my self I dont think i could do it. Going down to my family's ranch for a nice weekend of hunting sounds like a good idea =D
Its not for everybody, but after a few times, its not so bad. Kind of a pain in the ass to do one laying on the ground. Much better having them hanging. Kind of falls out by itself with minimal help instead of having to dig it all out.

I don't know if the military changes anything, but for $10 you can defer it for a year. Or just take your chances and hunt without it. I finally went and did mine this year.

Same as rifle. It just starts a month earlier than rifle season.

Is anyone seeing many hogs this year?

I haven't hunted with a bow since having surgery to my right shoulder in 2000. I used to hunt around Aquilla Lake on public lands and a on the in-laws land couple miles from Lake Whitney in Hill and Bosque Counties. I miss it.

Im not seeing as many as I thought I would, but the ones I am seeing are pretty big. Some at 32 to 36 inches tall. I took one a few weeks ago that weighed 260/270ish.

We have to be careful walking around where I'm at. Several mountain lions and monster hogs prowling around. Makes for a scary 200 yard walk to the stand in the dark early mornings.

I've seen a few, but the hot weather probably knocked a few out. This fall I plan on really sticking it to them.
