  • Water heater help

I posted this in the home improvment section but I want to fix this thing tonight.

My stupid water heater drips out of the hose hook up. I bought a cap and the damm threads on the plastic spout cross threaded. Now the cap I bought wont go on. Anyone got any McGuyver ideas that will stop this thing from dripping?

Tried the epoxy, failed. Thought about the hose and hose clamp but wasent sure if it would work. Guess it dosent cost much to try. BRB, going to the depot.

Replace that plastic hose hook up with a brass one with a ball valve. Mine was plastic and I hit it with a ladder. They just unscrew out.
