Its the law & he broke it! But its one of the many laws in this country that I dont agree with. Drunks kill more people then Potheads, Weed is going to be legal here shortly. They where just fucking with the old man to fuck witih him cause they had a good hunch he would have some weed GOD FORBID! A plant that grows out of soil that you can pretty much roll up & smoke. Not like other hard drugs that have to be cooked & made from Plants.

Not so much anymore! Got pulled over yesterday for not yeilding to on coming traffic on a left turn. But the cop was cool & didnt write me a ticket & let me go on my way. Thats pretty much my law breaking these days

I've been around drugs, just never took part.

I'd like to know how many that are antagonistic that have done the job I have and seen the horribly negative side of drugs that I have.

My entire family has had to deal with an uncle that has been using meth forever and it is horrible, with him feining or being in jail it was horrible to watch him be in that state of mind, but now hes clean and has been for 3 years.
But pot? ive never met a pothead that harmed himself or others when high, and pot heads dont kill for drugs, they share it. i dont see any problem with it.

Which is exactly why I effectively said, keep in mind you are biased as well. As I said in the other thread, I understand the reasoning, I just respectfully disagree.

edit:to answer your questions; There are many people who have never done the job that you have chosen to do, that have experienced many facets of life. Continually discounting others experience or worth due to them not being leo's will only separate you from honest discussion and understanding even further than you currently are.

I don't think the founding fathers were stoners. I think a bunch grew hemp because it was a valuable source of fiber for paper, rope, and cloth. Some were definitely stone drunks, though.

I'm not going to go as far as to call them potheads, but Washington, Jefferson, and Franklin all grew hemp in large quantites. Franklin owned one of the first paper mills in this country and it produce, of all things, hemp paper. Jefferson smuggled Chinese and Indian cannabis seeds through France back to America. This is all widely available in academic texts.

You can say what you want about hemp not being the same as the weed we smoke, but hemp's versatility and strength as a commercial fiber is a large part of the reason why marijuana is illegal today. Attaching hemp to its cannabis counterpart was simply the easiest way to get the public to respond negatively to products made of hemp fiber.

Combine that with William Randolph Hearst, one of the pioneers of yellow journalism that lacked any truth, and his vehement campaign to criminalize marijuana and you've got a nice little recipe for a criminalization based on absolute shit.

And furthermore, even after tossing all of that out if you really don't believe any of it, are you going to sit here and try and tell me that our founding fathers would support laws in this country which regulate what we can and cannot put in our bodies as citizens? That's outlandish.
