I know how you feel, I was with my wife for 7 years and this past year she decided to leave. I'm still distraught but I won't let it ruin my life, no kids so it's easier in a way but still hurts each day. I'm 31, but this is a second chance for me to live my life. Over the past 5 months I've went sky diving, hit up Vegas for the first time, and just a week or so ago got back from a 10-day vacation with 4 buddies in Asia.

I won't lie, I would trade it all back to being with my wife again but it is what it is. Can't look to the past just live in the present.

I'm planning alot more things in my life, I made a bucket list and plan on doing as many of the things on it as possible.

Find the positives, that's what I did and move on.

This is the type of thing you suddenly have time for when you're recently divorced.

Fly in to Los Angeles Sept 10th. Go to Hertz Counter. Pick up a 2012 Mustang GT. Proceed up the Pacific Coast Highway to San Francisco. Tour various filming locations of Bullitt, cross Golden Gate, etc. Proceed to Reno, Nevada. Lose some money. Drive across Nevada on Route 50, also known as the Loneliest Road in America. Many

I've actually been contemplating something like this as well. Just taking a road trip in my car somewhere.

It is VERY helpful. I haven't felt this good in years. I bumped into my supervisors supervisor the day after I got back at a restaurant, and he told my boss he was shocked at how together I had everything after what had happened. My productivity at work has skyrocketed since May, and I'm hoping the next 6 months brings another promotion.

What kills me is how cold she is. I mean, she hates me. I miss being that cocky asshole that used to not give a shit. I would have been balls deep in some honey and not thinking twice about it. But it is different now. Tried to be a good man for her, but just wasnt good enough I guess.

Try to be a good man for yourself now. It's a process. It won't come over night. You WILL stand up and hold your head up high, and be walking around like this planet was solely invented for you to walk it. Ask me how I know. Wake up in the morning and tell yourself, "Today, zero fucks will be given." Do something you want to do, start rebuilding that confidence a brick at a time. It won't take as long as you think. Get the divorce done and over with as quickly as possible.

If she doesn't give a shit, then neither should you.

Now go get some pussy. Quickly. And a lot of it. And for the love of God, leave it alone this time.

And get a vasectomy, or stock up on rubbers. The last thing you want is two psycho bitches to be tied to for the rest of your life.

You'll find someone better. In the not-so-distant future, she'll just be the woman you have to deal with to see your kids. Be sad. Be pissed. But then realize you've done your part to make the situation better and that isn't enough. Finally, get yourself emotionally detached... as soon as you can. It will only help.

Then get excited about finding some new pussy. Once you start grinnin and cheezin at some new chick and texting stupid shit at 3am you'll be long past this period.

And hey man, you know you can always come to DFW to hang out. You have real friends up here. I know the money's good, so enjoy it and save a shitload. But that oil barge work is a young man's game, you need to be making your escape plan too.

                              Give me a call dude.

I tell you what, it has taken every ounce of energy I have to keep from becoming a friggin alcoholic. A few beers or whiskey and I instantly feel better.....numbs the pain. I can honestly understand now how people let the bottle get the best of them.
                                Stay away from the booze.
