Todays standards of "scary" are a loud noise happening every once in a while. The Excorcist is psychologically fucked up. It takes about an hour to really get going but once it does it's pretty fucking intense.

The Ring is also a pretty good one.

Sorry but i just finished watching. There was nothing psychologically fucked up about it. It wasnt that intense. Now The Grudge, I have yet to finish that movie. I always stop it at the hospital scene.

The Ring was good after 3 views. If you watch it more than that, not so good.

The "Final Destination" series are real enough, and will get you to jump.

"Creepshow 2" is another realistic flick that scared the shit outta me back in the day. It's a show of 3 or 4 minuets, and each one was scary enough on it's own, just not long enough to make a movie.

"Pet Cemetary" is another good one, especially if any of the girls are animal lovers.
