You're a fanboi Eric, which is fine...you just paint with a wide brush that everyone else is also a black beret wearing coffee shop beatnik and should fall at their knees that your highness is coming to town. You assume i care, which i dont.

I'm glad this dude gets you wet, but hes a mediocre writer at best.

x2. I've read three of his works and each one disappointed or left something more to be desired. I'm not sure of the allure to so many people, but diff'rent strokes, right?
How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

All I did was ask if anyone was interested in going, and post an answer to a question you asked. I didn't realize that being in possession of facts rather than relying on opinionated conjecture made me some sort of celebrity dick sucker. Thanks for the heads up.

It's not the possession of facts that makes you a dick sucker...

It's the possession of balls, in and around his mouth that makes him a dick sucker.

I've always found it amusing people who try extra hard to be in a counter mainstream culture always end up being more mainstream and sheep'ish than the general public.

The whole I wish it was still 1955 thing is kinda funny. Greased hair, Converse shoes, cigerette pack rolled up in the sleeve, rusted out cars to make some statement of individuality is abit silly.

It isn't mainstream, but certainly isn't as individual as it once was. With the billions of people on the planet, it's kinda hard to "do your own thing" at this point.

No, not at all, no need to be defensive. I'm just stating an observation. People like what they like, I'm all for that. But it's the people who completely just immerse themselves into whole scene that it completely overttakes their identity like they are still living in 1955 for the reason since they are counter culture, they are cool because because they refuse to accept current times and trends. Do something because solely because you really like it, rather than making some individuality statement. Get what I am saying? Not trying to be a dick here, just converse.

It's not hard to do your own thing at all. Just do what you like without regard to what is "popular" or what is not. On a regular basis you see people buying this or that car, or buying certain wheels "to be different". I don't get that. Just do you, do you what you like, quit paying so much attention to what others are doing, just enjoy youself. It seems like so many people who overthink the simplest of things tend to be tortured souls.
