I'm looking into buying a newer Duramax pickup and was wondering if any of you guys knew of any good diesel truck forums. Which ones do you frequent most for performance or overall quality?

    TIA!

Duramax suck! Been driving one for 8 mos. Nothing but problems. Then again it has 281,000 miles on it.

man, I've been shopping for a duramax for a couple months, and I finally just couldn't do it... I read one too many cracked piston threads, and read a thread about injector replacement and compared it to injector replacement on a dodge, and threw my hands up and just bought another dodge

Thank you guys for the info...I plan on buying a used '08-'10 with less than 50,000 miles and it's not gonna be hotrodded or towed with a ton...should last awhile.

Is all the Banks stuff good for those trucks? I don't want to overfuel the truck so much it black smokes, but I will want a little extra power and better mileage.

the truck you want + diesel + forum

Not trying to be a smart ass, but that's how I find forums for stuff I'm interested in.

From my experience I say go cummins. Easier to work on and if you get a twelve valve or older 24 valve and keep up on the maintenance you will have a truck for a lifetime. Ok maybe an engine for a lifetime. The truck will fall apart long before that cummins gives up.
