  • First car... this kid is lucky.

I recently sold my father in law's 1969 Mustang Mach 1. It was a factory shaker car, automatic, 351, etc. It did not have every option available that year but it was nice and in great original shape.

The guy won it on ebay for $25,050. When we talked on the phone he told me he plans to work on it with his son for his first car in a year or two. I told him it does not really need anything unless you plan to upgrade the brakes (which are factory drum now).

Who spends that much and gives their kid an all original 69 Mach 1 for a first car? Did you have a car like this? My first car was a 1965 Mustang w/289. My father and I restored it for 3 yrs prior to me turning 16. It was just a coupe and not anything special so it was not worth a lot (relatively speaking).

      I had a 77 Mailbu 4 door tank. Don't be jealous!

My first car was a doo-doo brown 78 Camaro Type LT with T-Tops! The motor was blown so I had to fix it before I could drive it! Atleast it was a 4 speed so it was decently fun to drive. My kids would never get something like a 69 Mach 1 to drive!

My mom let met use her 84 Pontiac 6000 LE when I was in HS.

Technically my first car was an 88 CRX (that I bought of course)

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I am not a big fan of the color but my FIL keeps them original.
