And OP, if your car has breaks you should repair them and then you can call them brakes like the rest of us!
You forgot about the outside of new cars being better too...

No, I didn't. The fit and finish maybe better, but I prefer the lines of classic cars more than the newer bubbles that are being produced.

The new mustangs, camaros, and challengers look "fat" to me.

That's completely subjective. The older stangs look a lot better than the 2011's, IMO.

Where are the pics of this 20 year old girl?

30 seconds in, and I didn't see a balloon knot. Pass.

Any car manufactured after '72 is automaticcally disqualified.

Muscle cars should have a three digit cubic inch number, starting with a number higher than 2. No "liter" badges, muscle cars don't know what a liter is, since they were born in America. All metal bodies, no plastic bs. They should also have more tire than wheel as well. No "dubs", hub caps are acceptable, and raised white letter tires are encouraged. It should also have at least one four barrel carburetor, and a back seat that is conception ready. They should be accompanied by a smell of unburnt fuel, old vinyl, and the sound of glasspacks.

I used to get dropped off at school everyday in my mothers' '70 olds W-30. When someone mentions a muscle car, this image flashes in my mind.

For the young girl that loves a classic (I can't hate that):

Pony car = Sporty 4 seat, 2 door American car with an available V8, characterized by it's long hood, short deck (trunk area) proportions.
                            Examples: Mustang, Camaro/Firebird, Challenger

Muscle car = Midsize 64-73 4 seat, 2 door American car with the largest V8 available crammed in it. Cowls, scoops and crazy graphics are encouraged but not required.
Examples: Fairlane/Torino, Chevelle, GTO, 442, Charger, Roadrunner, and a bunch more

Sports car = 2 seat, 2 door car from anywhere. That's as much explanation as you get.
                            Example: Corvette

This is all up for debate, of course, but that's the general low-down.

Edit: so it could be argued that there are no modern muscle cars. At least, that I can think of.

I wish. We sold it in 1990, for $12k lol! That car is worth more than that nowadays. Ah well. I have the memories.

My pops had a '72 442 that he recieved as a gift from an uncle upon returning from Vietnam. He gave it to me on my 16th birthday, and I wish I still had them both. That w-30 was something else, and he always said if he hit the lottery, he'd spend every waking moment tracking it down.

Here is a shot of both, at the Waco Mini-nats, circa '87.

Remember some early GTO's ('66-'67) actually had little chrome "6.5 litre" badges on the fenders. I also had a '66 428 Galaxy that had a "7 Litre" badge on each fender and rear tail-light panel....sorry!
