Having lost my father to the ugly 'C' when I was 21, I can honestly say I felt the same way. He suffered for 5 years. He was 220 and strong when it started and weighed 98 pounds when he passed. I was almost thankful he was finally at peace. Doesn't stop me from missing my daddy every fucking day, but it does get better.

I am so sorry for your loss and if you ever need to bend someone's ear that's been through it, please don't hesitate to ask. My thoughts go out to you and your family.
