best area to live around san antonio?

What are you looking for? I grew up in NE San Antonio and its the nicer side of town but its a bit more expensive. If you want right outside of SA and small town then check out Shertz (I think its spelled that way).

I grew up in Castle Hills. It's a nice area that's convenient to quite a bit. Schertz and Cibolo are decent little towns between New Braunfels and San Antonio. The commute is longer, but they used to be cheaper than the other townships.

The yard i have to report to at 8am those days is in Schertz

With the hitches im working 6-8 nites a month ill need a place to stay for the night.
Im doing the extended stay now, and this is either too expensive per night or too fucking shady

There is a halfway decent Motel 8 off 1604 and Patbooker in Universal City that has rooms at that price. I've had family stay there when they come into town and it's clean and quiet.

Thats where i was staying until thurs when the ME ans SAPD taped off the area and hauled a guy off in a body bag, at the la quinta now, i may just check craigslist too for a room to rent and see how they compare
