Cappy, but even with unlimited data, I'm unsure. I'll mull it over and let you know. Thanks for the offer, Bryan.

Seriously though, should you decide to stay, all I have to do is make 1-2 phone calls and 10-15mins worth time spent and you have the unlimited data that they no longer sell.
Here's August and September so far w/ ZERO tethering. It's 100% phone only usage.

Shit I've been with AT&T for a couple of years now and love them; and we call internationally ALOT. I was with Alltel before they got bought out several years ago (had them for one year) and they were pretty good. I have heard horrible things about Sprint's coverage. Actually ATT has been pretty damn cool with us; my wife had her phone for a couple of months and wasn't due for an upgrade for like a year and a half and she was bugging the shit out of me for an Iphone. I was due for an upgrade but liked my current phone, so we went to ATT and asked them to upgrade my line but put it on my wife's number and they were cool as shit about it; Iphone would have cost us like $300 if we would have just bought it but because we upgraded my line to hers it cost $50 and we have had zero issues with data plans costing too much, and like I said we are talking internationally a bunch.
Edit: even with the international stuff and my wife being on an Iphone data plan our bill runs only about $150 - $200 per month which not bad considering the international stuff.I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.

the tethering is what ended my relationship with ATT. I use my phone to tether for internet on my laptop, i'm a truck driver so its a little different for me then most. I was fine with paying for tethering, but i had unlimited data, and they pulled that for a capped plan. FUCK that. so long story short, got out of that bullshit, went over to sprint, and fuck i have better service EVERYWHERE I drive. Its so crazy actually having a useable cell phone 99% of the areas i drive through as opposed to maybe 50% with ATT. not to mention way faster and they have a tether package with unlimited data. father in law works for sprint so we have the employee plan and pay 80 bucks a month for both phones, where as ATT we were paying close to 2 hundy. FUCK ATT. oh and the Evo blows away the iphone.

I can't say thats a terrible deal and some people might argue that AT&T has a good network (they do). I just think they are a bit overpriced (I just got rid of them). I unlocked my Iphone and switched to T-mobile...and while its true...I don't have 3G....for my uses...2G is fine (occasional tethering, unlimited calls, text, and data)....for 50 bucks plus tax which was 55 bucks. I had an unlimited data plan with AT&T and 1500 minutes talk+text. My normal bill was around 85 bucks. I tried the Straight Talk service for about a week and discovered why they have the worst rating in the industry.....they are just horrible.

I had ATT. When my dad passed needless to say I got 1000 phone calls and went over my minutes. They sent me a $350 fucking bill. I paid it. Then next month I got another $300+ bill. I called and bitched. They lowered it some. I just switched to metro and have not looked back. They can shove that up their ass.

All these different replies reflect the problem with all wireless carriers; there are so many dozens of combinations of plans, phones, roaming, internet, international, family, mobile to mobile, data plans, and the list goes on, that you have to really hunt down someone that is using a very similar setup in the same area as you to figure out if switching will be beneficial. Just from the above posts I am calling international from West Texas and love ATT; yet someone from another part of the state who is a truck driver and using the internet has a completely different plan and needs and charges than me, and the two bills really are not comparable. Makes it hard to do research and really pick out a good plan/carrier since nowadays everyone's needs vary so much. Good luck, though. Did you look into Boost Mobile? You pay only for what you use so maybe that is an option? I admit I have read zero reviews so for all I know they could be shit hot or just shit...I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.
