Netflix has publicly stated that they WANT customers using their streaming service instead of renting DVDs. Shipping is their single biggest expense. The problem is that they have failed to expand their streaming library by any real significance and they have also slipped in not expanding their streaming ability fast enough.

i can't believe how many people are bitching about the amount/quality of streaming content... it's only 8 fucking dollars!
i had to stay at a friends house for a few days cause he was really sick and had nobody to look after him. since i was off for a week i just crashed on the couch and watched netflix the entire time, never getting bored with the selection. hell to be honest i would pay up to $25 for the selections they have now without a second thought
for a bunch of ballers you motherfuckers sure are sounding cheap!lol

They are also going to offer Video games with the DVD subscription now, so maybe I'll go back. Gamefly never has any new games when they come out. I always get #7 or 8 in my que so I cancelled them too.Originally posted by Nash B.Damn, man. Sorry to hear that. If it'll cheer you up, Geor swallows. WTF? Is this company intent on killing itself?

The two sites will be autonomous, though, so if you need to change your payment information, for example, you'll have to do it twice. You'll also lose some more granular functions, like if a movie is not available for streaming, you'll no longer be automatically updated on if it's available on DVD—you'll have to search Qwikster separately. The two sites also won't communicate ratings and preferences, so while your current ratings catalogue will be imported to both sites at launch, they'll operate independently of one another from there, which seems like a giant pain.
