Thinking I want a new project, ideas?

OK so I have around $7500 to play with and want to get into another project. Not sure what I want to go with so any ideas will be helpfull. I would prefer to find something running/driving that I could play with as I fix up. Just a fun street car, maybe a pro touring type deal later on down the road. Here is what I have thought of so far.....

70's camaro/firebird
69-72 Nova
69-73 mustang mach 1
79-86 mustang coupe

Any other ideas?

replace motor with lsx

add big brakes/suspension/wheels/tires

end up with an incredible handling luxury coupe w/ac, power steering, tons of power, etc.

how much of that do you want to spend on the actual vehicle?

how much a month/year do you plan on putting into it?

how much time are you willing to spend on it?

how long before your gumption runs out and you sell it?

Not much. Vorshlag has a great kit and some info on their site. Great track toys...not so much for street use though. If you want to put A/C and make all the gauges work, it's going to get expensive.

I had my last project, the Datsun over 5 years and put more money than Im comfortable admitting into it. Im not looking to do that again though. I dont want something that will spend the next 5 years getting blown apart and rebuilt from the ground up again. I would prefer something already up and going so I can have some fun with it now.

then good running e36 328...and put a turbo on it with M3 suspension parts. end of story.

Engine swaps are fun, but headaches to make it a reliable driver. You already know that from the Datsun experience!
