If I remember how many days you have saved up, it is excessive. I'm not saying it's your fault...but that is not sustainable to have such a huge financial liability on anyone books. Don't get me wrong...if could do it I would...but there's a reason private industry doesn't allow it.
And you do realize I said all government right? I also never said to pay you minimum wage...stop stretching things to it your case.
We can only get paid for 720 hours when we leave. Any excess you have to use or give back to the city.
Again, it comes to offering benefits to attract and retain qualified people.
And to add to this, I would not say that my retirement is "outlandish". I've earned every benefit I have, and as a matter of fact, you need decent benefit to attract qualified applicants.
Do you really want a PD to get minimum pay and no benefits so that they supplement their income by stealing or taking...
