I've heard HEB is coming to Dallas,I know they just opened one up in Granbury last weekend.

I sure hope so. That is one of the biggest reasons I miss living in south texas. All the grocery stores in dallas suck.

just like HGtv shows about how to spend $100 that add $5k to home value. all that did was to get people to ask more for their homes than they were really worth. i kinda think it helped fuel the housing market collapse in 2008.

My wife did it for a while and we saw savings of 40 - 60% and we are pretty well stocked now. I would still prefer Krogers, Brookshires, Albertson's or Aldi's any time over WalMart. I got to feel like such a hypocrite every time I go to WalMart which is very seldom.

Dville_gt is kind enough to keep an ipad for me to use in the kitchen. Saw it in that junk newspaper they send out, effective today until Sept 20. Doesn't say you need to do anything specific, just use your kroger card.

Also, just a heads up, mayo and ipad do not go well together. Too much plastic and not enough meat.

Edit: you sure that isn't the gas points program? You get 100 points for every $100 purchase, and after 1000 points you get a $1 off gas.
