When I bought the Bronco it came with an entire folder of receipts. Some as new as 07 were barely legible and they had spent their whole life in a folder.

I hate thermal receipts, but everyone is using them these days, so there is no way around it. It's just another way for a retailer to get out of covering an item under warranty, a reason to not take returns, etc. Pretty gay if you ask me.

Yeah, I guess scanning would be the best bet, but I wonder if they would balk since it isn't an original receipt. At least they should be able to use the info on the receipt to find the original transaction in their system.

We've been using them since I first started in 1998. A good Manager should be able to take care of you with a copy, a moron that is impressed with the percieved authority of having MANAGER on his shirt probably won't. Most people in my area take care of customers like they should. I can't speak on other districts.

I'll add to this, I routinely get fucked on a couple gas receipts a month during the summer. I keep all gas receipts in my console, for safekeeping until I do my expense report. During the summer, the heat fucks them all up so they are unreadable.

It's too long to type without much payoff, but basically a guy complained about service recieved, DM started investigating, found out the TM had intentionally put in the wrong phone # for warranty, and put the guys name as Punk Ass Bitch in the system...
