My wife did this for me a few weeks ago and put a note on a napkin in my lunch. I threw it away and when she asked if i got it, I said I threw it away and didn't even look at it.

Why limit your expression to just verbal? It takes some effort to write a love note or a poem, and put it somewhere that surprises them. It's all about showing them how much they mean to you, sure telling them is good, but going a little out of your way and beyond your comfort zone will mean that much more.

You can always get a magic marker and write a little note on her ass while you're back there.

why change what's working?

To keep stuff new and fresh... its like saying why try other sexual positions... if missionary is working keep right on. That might be nice for a while, and it might even be your default, but spicing things up a bit and keeping your lover guessing... that shouldn't be seen as a bad thing.

Sure that may seem like comparing apples to oranges, but all relationships can suffer and become stagnant after a while. If it's important to you, taking a few minutes to do something unexpected goes a long way.
