I was talking to a friend earlier today about roadtripping through the hill country and the coast, and it made me really nostalgic. There's not really a point to this thread, apart from my general recognition of the superiority of the republic to every other state. I'm no literary scholar, but John Steinbeck has a great quote about Texas being a "state of mind" and being a "nation unto itself" and outsiders are considered "foreigner's".
I've been here all my life, and we just have a different mindset. Good or bad, I don't know, but different for sure.
