  • Today, I really miss Texas

I was talking to a friend earlier today about roadtripping through the hill country and the coast, and it made me really nostalgic. There's not really a point to this thread, apart from my general recognition of the superiority of the republic to every other state. I may be in PA for the dollars, but the goal of the dollars is to eventually get back to Texas. Fuck...

Where in PA? I lived in DE before I moved to TX. I met several of my friends through mustang meets around SE PA.

I didn't fully appreciate TX until I left it for a few years

After walking to campus in the middle of this freezing motherfucking snow, yeah I'm really missing my home state as well.

I know the feeling, I spent my whole life trying to get away from Texas and the last few years I've been gone trying to return.

I'll be back for good soon. The Corps has been fun but it couldn't erase Texas from my mind.

I'm no literary scholar, but John Steinbeck has a great quote about Texas being a "state of mind" and being a "nation unto itself" and outsiders are considered "foreigner's".

I've been here all my life, and we just have a different mindset. Good or bad, I don't know, but different for sure.

I've spent enough time away from Texas to appreciate it very much.

I would move to FL if I had to leave Texas.

Apparently people from PA don't like being called Yankees. Whoops LOL! been here two days and I'm already pissing the natives off.

What else would they like to be called? "Hey, Asshole", probably won't work, either.
