Just get regular state plates. You don't get all the styles, but you can still have them personalized for less. This is per the Denton county tax office.

Fill out the form at the tax office, I go to the one on Rosemeade. You pay a addition $40 a year on your registration every year. I ran personal plates on my van for years and thought it was worth it. My plates, is a rip off imo.

I dunno, the tax lady told me this about a month ago when I was registering my car. Cobraman, just call them and see what they say
