I will spend the day with my twins who were 4 on 9/11 and explain what happened , answer all questions then explain that if they ever stick their head in the sand and forget that it happened, that it will happen again .

If you like seeing old cars run the 1/4 mile and bracket race than you will enjoy it. There is usually really good turn out on the Ennis event. A lot of down time in Ennis though as it seems they never have their shit together.
I use to go a few years back. But my dad and step mom will be out there in there mustangs. (don't think they have missed an event this year and made most of them last year) I might show back up one of these days once my car is running.

China Town gate is at the corner of Bush and Grant - good photo opp.
If you end up on Grant, just walk south (towards the financial district, away from the bay). China Town is always a clusterfuck... will be even more so on a weekend, and especially if it's sunny out that day - but you have to check it out just be prepared. Wear "walking shoes", China Town is located in one of the most hilly areas of the city. Forget a cable car ride on a weekend if it's sunny as well... too many damned tourists. I still say "Twin Peaks" is a must visit if you're in the city... doesn't get a lot of press but the best damned view I've ever seen when it isn't covered in fog. It's a "must do" if it isn't foggy. There's a gigantic tower on top of it and if you can see fog on the tower from wherever you are, don't bother - the view will be worthless.

Fwiw, 19th Street leads directly onto the Golden Gate Bridge, if you're hitting it from the south to go northbound towards Sausalito/Marin. That entire area is under construction and it's a pain in the ass right now to navigate. I live a mile from the Golden Gate bridge and went to cross it to hit the PCH a couple weeks ago... took me an hour just to get across it from my house.

So, give yourself plenty of time when you hit it. It's also a toll road southbound (not northbound out of the city) so have $6 on you if you plan on returning to SF once you cross. Dress warmly, it's still chilly here. It changes once you're 5 miles out of the city, but in the city it's chilly.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

To act like its any other day of the week. They're right to rebuild those towers just like they were. A big "Fuck you, we'll just rebuild it" to the terrorists.

I will be watching the Cowboys with my dad, it is his 57th birthday and he got out of the hospital yesterday from Lymphoma sugery. He has had better birthdays.

R.I.P. those who lost their lives on that horrible day.

I'll reflect on what I was doing the moment the towers were hit, have a beer for our fallen and hug and kiss my loved ones.

I wanted to go drive down to the Flight 93 Memorial. I have been twice since I've lived here, but since its the 10th Anniversary theres ex presidents and a bunch of ceremony going on there so I probably wont for the 10th Anny.

Bought the Delta Charlie Groupon awhile back(3 course dinner for 2 and 30 minute sight seeing flight over Dallas), coincidentally had to reschedule for this Sunday which at the time did not realize was 9/11.. So I will be flying over Dallas Sunday giving the Talibs the finger. Best part is the gf doesn't know we are flying yet haha I hope she is terrified.
