The "President" of the dfwlx club is a neighbor of a relative. All his neighbors hate him. Completely worthless post, I know.

LOL, the DFWLX Club is....different. They are a very cliqish group and very heavy into car shows. They've got more participation awards than any other club I've ever seen. Most of their modding is very leaned towards the asthetics and not much into performance. They get all crazy about those Halo lights, which I personally don't get, but to each to their own. All the modding typically comes down to, demolding/badging, 22 inch wheels, lambo doors, halo lights and stereos with neon everywhere.

      Not my type of thing.

This guy does a fuckload of airbrusing and painting for people in the club. He has a booth set up in his garage. He has two Chargers, one is a clone of the other. I know one was one is some type of a contest. Apparently he's been in all kinds of magazines and shit. I also know he is a former BMW guy, which that seems like an odd jump to make.

Steering wheel has been upgraded (much sportier). Active 2 way damping on shocks, basically a sport mode, firmer settings. Functional scoopes, more for adding cooler air to the engine bay. Race car no, fucking fast land boat yes!!! But the exterior looks is what closed it for me.

I'm loving the look of yours!

Hope you don't mind me stealing that pic from the flyer thread.

Best retro car as far as looks go on the road. Would love to have one, but I am not going to pay 10k over the Mustang or Camaro to get one.

Very Nice Andre. I like them as well but my love for Mustangs and the new 5.0 closed the deal for me. Also the 48k sticker was too much for me, I would get a SVT GT500 or Z06 for that kind of coin, my stang was near 30k.

The club is a huge club ranging from bone stock rides to fully modded rides, as far as cliqish goes... all clubs are like that, I mean even this club is that way in a sense..... its a good club but like all clubs there is some BS you gotta deal with.

Awesome man. I really dig all of the big three muscle cars out right now, and ironically, it took the 10+ Mustang about a year to finally grow on me, whereas I liked the Challenger and Camaro both immediately. It's a good time to be a car guy.

Either the LP or the god awful window banner says Prez, or VP, or something like that.

I agree they are one of the best looking of the big 3, but lacking in performance for the money you have to pay. As long as you aren't worried about being the fastest guy on the block with your daily driver, they are nice and comfortable cars....albeit a bit pricey. I rented a V6 Challenger once in Vegas, though, and it was such a turd that it pissed me off....I actually complained about it when I took it back.

As far as Dodge quality goes....I've got to say it's been hit or miss for me. We've had my wife's Magnum for coming on 7 years now, and it's been one of the best cars we've owned. The biggest thing I've had to do was some suspension work....struts, shocks, control-arm bushings, and inner/outter tie rods all at once at 80K....but I attribute that to it being a big fatass and us having to drive a ~7 mile shitty country road to get to or from our house for the past 5 years. Otherwise, it's been great! Has great power for a big turd, and like Steve said above...awesome for traveling. MPG got a lot better after the first ~30K miles on it....consistently around 18 mixed and as good as 25 all hwy. (keeping your foot out of it). We've thought about getting her something new a few times, but every time we end up deciding against it b/c it's been a good car...and of course it being paid for helps too I suppose.

On the other hand...my last 2500 truck was one of the biggest POS I've ever owned. It really sucked getting rid of it too...b/c I loved that truck...MPG, power, towing, offroad abilities, room/comfort, etc, etc. but I just could not deal with the problems and their seeming lack of ability to correct them under warranty any longer. If it had been little quirky issues I'd have lived with it b/c I really liked the truck, but not having AC in a newer vehicle, and having to disconnect the batteries when it was parked more than a few days just didn't seem right to me. But then I know other guys with identical trucks who have never had the issues I had...so like I said, hit or miss.

I suppose that all leads back to the bigger point about there being no good Dodge service facilities out there.....at least I never found one. I made the mistake of going into it thinking I'd be okay with an extended warranty....and I was wrong.

It may not be there anymore. It was for a good while though. Don't really pay attention much any more.
