That wouldnt surprise me. We never get the full true story from the media. I agree with the one post that says I dont care what kind of dog it is, if it is bigger than a 13 day old baby it can harm and or kill the baby.

Ya, Jared is gonna bite my ears for this, but this is one breed that is out of control, although I do agree that anyone that allows ANY animal access to a 13 day old baby needs to be punished to the full extent of the law.

In this case, yes. Because a 13 DAY OLD baby should never be left unattended in any case, for any reason. This happened because the parent stupidity.

Somewhere along the way, a pit bull must have snuck into that dachsund's bloodline.

About ten years ago we had the police called to our house because someone made a complaint that there was a viscous pit bull barking at children playing next door. The dog in question was a 12 year old registered beagle.

This happens a lot. The media won't get the same attention without pitbull in the headline. Sadly, a lot of weak-minded sheeple lap it up every time, form uneducated opinions, and then spew the bullshit from their own mouths, feeding right back into the whole process.

People who know better, know better. Some people wise up and form new opinions. Sadly, for many, it's not worth the effort to try to shed light on things, because they have their minds made up.

In this case it doesn't matter if it's a Pit or not. It could have been a huge, retarded Lab that wanted to smothering the baby licking it to death. The parents are still at fault for leaving the baby unattended. It just so happens it was a Pit allowed access to the baby and probably thought it was a noisy chew toy.

Regardless of breed, they are all still animals and can turn instinctively at any moment. The parents are at fault here for not protecting the baby and handling their animal properly.

I agree with all but what I put in bold. Dogs (all dogs) know.
