    Yep

    Height: 18-22 inches (46-56 cm)
    Weight: 22 -110 pounds (10-50 kg)

Please Note: The APBT ranges in size from 22 pounds to 110 pounds (rare), with the most common being between 35 - 55 pounds (16-25 kg.), in fact the original APBT's were between 20 - 40 pounds (9-18 kg.) and were bred small for their main purpose, fighting, These dogs are varying from small to extra large. A very common misconception is that APBT's are muscle bound (viscous) hulks that weigh in around 85 pounds (39 kg.) and this is generally not the majority, Most of the APBT's that Are that large have been crossed with another breeds.

I know that... but the 65lb thing isnt that standard now a days, my buddy has a pure bred american bulldog and Thorns is a dwarf compared to him..... and he's still short as hell too, when he goes to the front windows to look out he rests his chin on the window sill.

That's outrageously heavy for a pitbull. 35-60 lbs is pretty much the normal range. Mine are both bigger than that (68 and 82 lbs at last vet visit a few weeks ago), but mine are definitely fat, and may not even be 100% pitbull, themselves.

100 lbs means it's probably mixed with a much larger dog, like an American bulldog, Great Dane, Mastiff, etc. Pretty common.

          • My older one was 65 the last time he went to the vet.

My younger one who isnt done growing is about 60 right now, he'll probably be close to 70 in a few months.

meh im not worried, i havent weighed him in a while..... so the 100 is a guesstimation.... im thinking more like 85 realistically Im now going to have to find out, im sure there is other animal mixed in there somewhere... seeing he is a bully rescue dog. but even when i got him from there they told me he wouldnt hit more than 65lbs.....oops.

              • Forrest is right on. Pit bulls are for trash, period.

In a past career, I legally trespassed on properties all over this state. I had to learn real quick how to handle people's guard dogs, or I was lunch. The last thing I wanted to do was kill someone's pet. I found the majority of pit bull owners were far from "dog lovers". They used them as lawn decoration, or to maintain some sort of image of badassery.

Still, I learned one simple fact: ALL DOGS BITE. If they have teeth, they will use them. I got to feel the wrath of quite a few canines. However, pit bulls were in a class of their own because of the damage their jaw can cause. No other breed even compares to the bite force of a pit bull. My worst incident was with a Wiemeriner whom I surprised, and she had a litter of pups. I would re-live that attack any day, instead of having my arm partially amputated by someone's "pet". I saw the results of pit attacks versus other large breeds, and there was no comparison.

This breed should be eradicated, along with the mentality that drives the desire to own or show compassion for a useless animal, plain and simple.

He'll jump on the bed when we're laying in bed about to sleep and walk all over us like we're not there... but when her lil nephew comes over and sleeps on the couch, he'll jump on the couch, not walk on him and lay/sleep with him. He's such a little sweet asshole.
how's the young one doing? me and dangerous_sep had his parents and i guess you bought one of the ones from the first litter. i have a blue girl from the second litter.

                      • i don't think anyone here is arguing that people that own those "lawn decorations" are trash. the argument is that not all people that own a pitbull are trash and not all are used as a lawn decoration to show off some bow legged pitbull/bull dog mix.

that's obvious, but this is the world we live in... if you've got a true pit bull? you've obviously got nothing to worry about (we've all been told that they have zero human aggression, right?)

but if you've got a fucking 100lb mutt with skin problems? I wouldn't trust it with shit

i don't think any dog has the possibility of zero human aggression. but i would watch my dog like i would watch any other dog around a child or other person because you just never know how one will react.
