Just saw on an Austin news site that some kids (teens) lit a fire near the neighborhood I lived in when I lived in Leander and I think the house I rented (along with several others) burned down. What the FUCK is wrong with kids these days?

Because they think it's funny, if it's true I hope those kids if it was kids their house burned to the ground. Just in spite to teach them a lesson that fire is nothing to mess around with

It smells heavily of smoke here. Wondering if it's something that burned here in The Colony or if it's winds bringing the smoke in from other fires.
How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

It smells strong like smoke here in Irving as well. Didn't notice it in Euless, but I still figured it was from the fires in Central Texas. It's amazing how much smnoke is pouring into the air.

Im up in valley view and it smell heavily of smoke here also. My wife works in Frisco and said its smells pretty bad up there too.

My prayers and thoughts go out to everyone being affected by the fires and to all of the brave people fighting the fires.

The smoke smell is heavy in Grapevine. I feel for all the families suffering through this.

The smoke made it down to our area about 100 miles south east of Austin yesterday. Its knocked some of the sun light out and lowered the highs but the air smells like smoke.

                                I think I would cry

The good news for one Texas man near the massive wildfires is that his home was merely singed, and his family escaped uninjured. The bad news was what the fire took instead — some 175 classic cars, including a Shelby Cobra and about a dozen Corvettes.
