    One thing to note:

It is recommend to stay 48 hours after a vaginal birth and 72 hours after a c-section, but the hospital might try to kick you out earlier than that. As long as your insurance is paying, don't let them strong-arm you to leaving before you should. We just had our baby last week and we told the nurses up front we were staying a minimum of 48 hours after the birth, even though they asked if we wanted to leave after 12. I slept up there with my wife and baby, so if you're going to do the same, remember to bring your toiletries, clothes, etc.

Pre-eclampsia, baby is fine, it's the momma thats having problems. They've almost induced twice now but got the BP under control. Once she hits 37 weeks he's coming out. Apparently white male babies take the longest for lung development, trying to keep him out of nicu. And our first btw.
You remember the stories John use to tell us about the the three chinamen playing Fantan? This guy runs up to them and says, "Hey, the world's coming to an end!" and the first one says, "Well, I best go to the mission and pray," and the second one says, "Well, hell, I'm gonna go and buy me a case of Mezcal and six whores," and the third one says "Well, I'm gonna finish the game." I shall finish the game, Doc.

Take your own sheets or sleeping bag. I got the worst stomach virus in my life those few days at the hoapital for my son. I ended up in er.

I did the sleeping bag but did not bring a pad. I'd recommend bringing a sleeping pad too, those damned hospital floors are like ice.

Appreciate all the well wishes and advice as to what to bring. But... We are at Baylor Gpv now... Had our last doctors visit this morning and doc did not like the stress test readings, soooo here we are at Baylor. A day ahead.

-dieselsmoke, hope all is well for u guys! Laura had signs of pre-clampcia and higher then hell blood pressure. Due to pre-exsisting medical reasons, we are having a c-section. So, well be here for at least three days.
