  • Had to break into my house. Anyone know a good glass guy?

Long story short. Walked across the street to visit with neighbors. Took my garage door opener with me. (Always keep house locked up.) Come back 10 mins later and the p.o.s. remote decided to die on me.

Broke out a 40" x 33.5" single pane glass window.

If you know a good glass guy, I'd appreciate the hook up.

Shoulda broke off the door knob...unless it was deadbolted. Otherwise, it's cheaper to replace a doorknob than a window.

    Where are you located?

To venture a guess, I would say Arlington.

Why didn't you go back across the street and borrow a battery?

Doesn't take a traditional battery like aa or aaa.

Found a company that is going to replace today for $125. Works for me.

There's a place on I-35E, just south of I-20 (northbound service road after Pleasant Run Rd) called Renfro's Glass. I've taken several random frames there over the years and they've never failed me.

Lol. I've busted off my door knob to get back in, and I have heard of people asking the neighbor to take them to a store to buy a battery.

You just cost yourself a bunch more money than needed
