That's the biggest bunch of horse shit I've read on here in some time. Holy fuck, you're one bitter, hate filled SOB.

That's because you can't see that your caught up in the fact that you can't see reality because what I said wasn't that harsh. Its just the way you took it is what was harsh.

I agree with Brent on this one. State approve curriculums won't have all the "religious bullshit" in them that you claim. But if there is brainwashing going on it will be on the part of the parents attributing science to god. "Mom, how did the sun form?" "Well little Billy, in Genesis God said let there be light, and the sun formed." Or the parents include religious studies on top of the curriculum set out by the state.

Homeschooling is great if you want your kid to be a weirdo.

How does home schooling make someone a weirdo? I was home schooled and I am not weird.

Nobody thinks that they, themselves are weird.

No, it's your typical anti Christian bullshit you spew. I'm not even Christian, and I fucking see it.

You atheists crack me the fuck up every bit as much as the holy rollers. You both spread as much hate and hypocrisy as the other, and you're both too fucking stupid to see it.

My youngest has always been differant from ever other kid out there. From the time he was young he never worried with playing with other kids and has always been to himself. He is the type that will walk up to someone to hug them, say off the wall remarks, ect....He is very smart but is not socially there and I really think he never will be even once he gets older. We are having him tested soon to see what exactly his "Label" will be as much as I hate to...He recently got in trouble at school for making a comment to a student that landed him in deep trouble at the age of 11...As a parent I can not allow this to happen so home schooling will be the answer for now...

Just looking for what others have used for home schooling to get this started....

I have a hard time believing that ANY parent (especially on this forum) can teach a kid multiple subjects better than a staff of teachers. Kids that are taught correctly at home can avoid the classroom distractions. You can't hide your kids from everything.
You obviously don't know shit. It shows with every post you make, Mr. Engineer. I don't know where you get your information from, but it looks like you put a public school teacher on some sort of elevated intellectual status to think that someone can't school their own child. You have that typical attitude that spews someone's failure without experiencing it for yourself. Just because you don't think your parents could have pulled it off, doesn't mean other people can't. I bet both your parents had to work, right?

Actually, that's what I thought and wasn't on board with the idea until I saw these kids. My son played on a baseball team out of Cedar Hill and they could ball! There are a lot of parents taking their kids out of these dipshit districts and schooling them while giving extra attention to a specialty that they can excel in like sports.

Aaaaaand we have our token Christian hater, talking out of his ass, yet again. When was the last time you cracked open a textbook and read up on some religion? Go troll somewhere else.

He went to college, and now has a job in the oil field and still has no idea how to interact with people, even with family. The daughter fared slightly better, but that is only because she spent half her time NOT listening to her parents. Even though she has tried to be normal, she is still missing something with social interaction, just not as bad as her brother.

If you want to avoid the public school route, find a good private school if you can afford it. Most of those are religious based, but are no where near as bad as the private curriculum; ie they actually teach real science. I looked at my cousin's junior high "science" book and the section about how planets and stars are formed was literally "God made them". It also had dinosaurs living with man, but not in a Jurassic-themed park.
Again, there are MANY options to have social interaction for them. Did you not even read my post above?

LOL... public schools have rid the world of weirdos! Holy shit, where do you people come up with some of this crap?

Social interaction can and does take place outside of school.

I'm pretty fucking weird, but I attribute it to public school. I also have absolutely zero motivation to finish my bachelor's degree because public school doesn't push kids to give their very best. I coasted through high school with a 3.97 GPA, didn't do any homework, and figured if I can make an A- without doing homework, then why should I waste my after-school hours trying to go above and beyond when I could be outside doing something.

I find this humorous because my ex-SIL was homeschooled by a linguist mother and nuclear engineer father. I'd say they had their bases covered in the math-science department and in the History/English side of things.

That aside, most parents would struggle with some aspect of teaching all of the subjects at higher levels, I agree. That's why they have co-op programs.

x2 sheltering your kid from the real world will only make it harder fro him to succeed in life.
