  • real MPG for 2011 auto GT?

does any one have a new 5.0 auto? if so, what avg. MPG you are getting? my wife drives close 100 miles a day. we are thinking about getting her a new car, and a mustang is on the table. a 3.7 is most likely, but a 5.0 is not out of the question. she is getting about 25 right now. the drive is down 380 to 75, and down about 9 miles. so mostly highway.

Consider the cost of ownership, and mpg.

If MPG is your determining factor, the V6 makes more HP than my GT did stock.

Even though the V6 is impressive, you would probably regret not saving longer for a GT.

saving is not the issue. long time cost is. she has a 2.5 litre Altima right now, so a V6 is twice the power.

Yeah, V6's are nice for sure, especially for the money.

Jeremy, what about combined mileage hwy/city on both?

Is the 3.7 your girl's car I assume?
