iPad, Touchpad or Galaxy?

Im looking to get a tablet of some kind. Honestly, not looking for it to do a whole lot besides surf the net, play games and watch movies. Dont care alot about it taking pictures and other features.

That being said, i started looking on craigslist for a cheap or used one. Id like to stay in $300 range. I have seen ipad 1 and Galaxy and Touchpads in this range.

My question is, which would be my best bet? I thought Galaxy would be good, but when i went to Best Buy to look at it, i realized they were alot smaller than an ipad and im not sure if i like that or not?

Ipad would be my first choice, but lack of flash really bothers me. I play that ESPN Bar game on facebook and think its a flash game... so that would suck not to have flash

HP Touchpad looks promising, but think its discontinued... not sure why? but i heard not as many apps?

The Galaxy is approx half an inch longer but half an inch more narrow than the iPad. Galaxy has twice the RAM of the iPad. Cameras on the Galaxy are better than on the iPad. iOS is nice and smooth and more aesthetically pleasing than Android but a lot more restrictive; iPad has more apps (but I think there are proportionately more free apps for Android) and provides a better user experience but the Galaxy/Android in general has more potential. You can pick up an Asus EEE Transformer for $400 new, maybe you can find one used in your price range.

And don't get a Touchpad unless you get it cheap to put Android on it. PalmOS is weaksauce.

The operating system (web os) is going the way of the dinosaurs. The reason they are all on clearance is because web os will no longer be developed for.

I have an android tab and an ipad 2. The android tab was nice once I rooted and flashed it. It's a viewsonic gtab 10.1, and the only two things that suck about it are no usb charging and the viewing angles. I'm trying to get rid of it and would probably sell it for $100.

I bought the wife an iPad for Christmas last year, and I have an iPhone4 and both boys have iPhone 3Gs.

I won't buy another Apple product because of their proprietary attitude in regards to warranty work and programs.

Yeah, don't get the 7". Get the Galaxy Tab 10.1 or whatever it's called. The original (7") was junk, the new one is pretty nice. You might also be able to find a Motorola Xoom for about the same price (I have one and like it).

Watch for sales on them. I got mine for $300 + tax @ Toys R Us about a month back. I'd bet money that pricing will drop here on all tablets soon (minus the iPad) since the TouchPad just flooded the market and took a bunch of potential customers out of an already kinda weak market.

For what it's worth I have an iPad 2 and love the he'll out of it.the lack of flash has not gotten in the way that much for me. All I do is pay bills, surf, watch videos, play games and look at porn. I Haven't messed with any other products so I can't compare. I'm very brand loyal to.
