    First trip to the Zoo : Dallas or Ft.Worth?

    I've never been to the Zoos here since I've lived in Texas and would like to take Emma on her trip to the Zoo. I don't know anything about either one, so which one would you guys recommend for a two year old? Do either of them have a petting area?

    Advice or tips?

    Fort Worth Zoo blows Dallas Zoo away. I can't remember if there is a petting area, but overall, FW is much better.

        like the others say, the fort worth zoo is supposed to be better.

        I do want to see the new African giants or whatever at Dallas though.

          Havn't been to Dallas in years but I heard recently it was a lot better then before, but Ft. Worth is pretty good.

            Fort Worth Zoo kicks ass. The primate exhibit is one of the best in the country.

              I've only been to ft worth. That said, a new group took over the Dallas zoo, and it's supposedly a totally different experience than it used to be.

                  Was at the Dallas Zoo just a few weeks ago for an event and it is totally different than before and worth the visit! Before I would have just said go to Ft Worth but now the Dallas Zoo is worth going to.

                      Like daisy says, Dallas is not the same. I am sure Ft Worth is better, but it isn't by as wide of a margin now.

                          I went to both this summer. I enjoyed the Dallas zoo far more than the Ft. Worth one.
