Ya, as part of the evidence building exercise, but that's all but over (especially since it doesn't seem to really matter for the divorce proceedings based on what I've read just today, here and elsewhere), trying to sort out living arrangements right now and get that in the bag so I can get my shit moved out and moved in same day as notice of filing. this, had a buddy split with his ol' lady, they had quite of bit of debt. He ended up paying off some stuff that she had before they married because they had done a debt consolidation loan. She was the primary and defaulted which stuck him with about $9k on top of the house.

Been through the divorce process w/o an attorney and currently helping a friend do it at the moment. Would be happy to help you out with some info, just shoot me a PM. Don't waste your money on an attorney or other services that claim to help you with all the paperwork it is easy to do on your own. Even after my ex-wife lawyered up I handled everything on my own and came out better then she did, especially after she doled out $1500 for her "lawyer". You just need to be able to put in the research and educate yourself for when you talk to her counsel. Again, I would be happy to help out if wanted.
