Man to be honest, the "youre a fuckin moron" comment was a little un-called for, which started all of this. Yes I live in Orange actually. Its not that I dont like droids or iphones, but I text a lot and do various things on my phone. It may not be as up-to-date but over-all I like my Blackberry and when Im walking out the door, i dont have to worry "Is my phone charged?"

It may not seem like a big deal, but I hear too many complaint about the battery power on the droids/iphones. I dont do enough technically on my phone to need anything more than looking up something on the web, texting or making calls.

My initial 22 years of life were spent growing up in Orange.

      To put it in perspective:
You said that your blackberry (the fwd mini-suv) was better than Android/Iphones (the SRT8/TBSS) because it got you from a to b with better mpg (battery life), and completly negated the performance aspects (faster devices) , and their ability to do 100x more (larger aftermarket).

lol, the perspective was kinda funny...

Although I wouldnt bring up an SRT8 as far as QUALITY. Id pick a Cobra or Vetter over any SRT-Dodge, but that's just me. And go ahead and download a thousand apps and see how slow your phone is. Sorry but thats all phones...

There's a difference between file storage and memory.

What Im saying is, he said the droids/iphones are faster than a blackberrry, which a friend of mine at work and i just had a race as to who can get on the web faster. He has an iphone4. I beat him by about 3 seconds, which Im not saying mine would always be faster, but it didnt say a lot about his iphone. He's mentioned all the apps and Im simply saying that it doesnt matter if theres 100,000 apps available, a blackberrry/droid/iphone/inspire etc etc will ALL slow down if you put too many apps on them.

Your browser loads less plugins, and has less browsing support. Your experience may be faster, but it's not a total web experience. It's a shitty mobile experience.
If i have to wait 3 seconds for my full blow web page support, on a screen that is adequate for browsing large pages, i'm fine with that.

Also was this a carrier test, or a wifi test?

No. The number of installed apps won't have an effect on performance; the number of running apps will.

Anyone that has/had one, please chime in with your thoughts. Thanks.

What is it you do with the phone that you like the EVO more than the Iphone? I always had blackberrys but I just got an Iphone. I like the bigger screen, better browser, easier to navigate etc. So I'm just curious, what makes the EVO better than the Iphone?

You can have the best phone in the world and someone will have a reason not to like it. Everyone has something they like about certain phones.

Personally, I dont like an all touch screen phone, but thats just me. Yeah Id like a bigger screen, but a longer battery life will win me over before a bigger screen. Hell the Inspires screen is huge, but with a phone that big, it just makes it more awkward and bulky to keep up with, but again....thats my opinion.

I'm saying that his reasons for liking the iphone over the blackberry are probably going to be the same as to why she likes the evo over the iphone.
Bigger screen, better browser (and more browser options), easier to navigate.

Android's UI still hasn't gotten all the way there, though. iOS still leads in that department.
