The jury duty notices they mail aren't ceritified so how would they ever know you got it and how could you get in trouble if you don't go if they can't prove you actually got it?
I've had two jury duty summons in the past 4 years but I went, didn't want to take a chance...
I have skipped once the first time I got it. And I went the next time. they didnt say anything at all for skippping. But once you do go that first day and u have to come back you better. I was on it for 4 days. It was interesting. But I will prolly skip all the other ones now
I have a summons coming up at the end of September. A whole hell of a lot of people died, and more are in harms way, just for me to serve that little bit of time. I won't enjoy it much I'm sure, but I'm going. And to be honest, I'm damn proud to serve such a simple civil act after so many others have served a much greater act in my stead.
