Do the exemption request online. They don't even ask what kind of student. High School or college student: yes. Then they ask where and what your class schedule is. It took an hour for my exemption request to be approved that way.

True, I had the date mixed up the last time I had a summons and missed it. I didn't even get arrested. Of course being a true red blooded American I rescheduled and blamed it on the post office.
