To be honest I hadn't even thought of it that way, this was just 2-3 years ago and it was a brown individual. If I remember correctly they were asian.

        Gold right here!!! ^^^^^

I fly a ton and that is why I try for a window as well, beverage cart or assclowns grabbing your seat is hell.. That and people with huge carry on shit too. I understand trying to save a baggage fee but good god not so much. We had to wait for some clown who stuffed his shit in the overhead this morning that was to large it took him 5 mins to get it out. It happens but when people need to make their connections have a clue..

I gave up a window seat on a 9 hour flight once because the person in my seat was there because someone was in their seat, and so on... It was a clusterfuck, and the flight attendants weren't particularly interested in playing musical chairs with a bunch of people.

You are better then me Sir. I have that happen to me often and I am the dick.... What seat is on my boarding is where my but sits. ONLY time I will move is to help a family with kids...

It doesn't sound like you were an asshole about it. I would have gladly taken the aisle if someone asked politely to have my window seat, though. For the rest of the day, I'd feel good for making a small but kind gesture instead of wondering if I pulled a dick move. But that's just me.

Hell, I've had the dumbass TSA confiscate my fingernail clippers before. I though they were worried about me taking over the plane with them, maybe the flight attendants are just tired of picking up clippings?

I've only given up my seat a couple of times. Both when I was in 1st class and there were soldiers coming on board that were obviously coming back from Iraq or Afghanistan. Of course these guys never asked me to give up anything. They never tried to impose on anyone. I just felt like doing it.

As for how it went down, you did nothing wrong.

I'm normally an asshole, but I'm not picky over my seat on a plane.
If they didn't act like they wanted to move I would have probably asked the stewardess if there was another open seat since a manatee was inhabiting mine. And that's probably how I would have worded it too.
If it was a short flight, I would have just taken the aisle seat on the gamble that the beast won't have to rub her fatness on me on the way to the lavatory. This avoids sitting in the now fat-funkified window seat.
                      .

I'm well aware. I've managed to make it into my 30's without contracting it. :-)

I don't see where this gives the gov't the authority to pre-treat what is more or less an STD (based on new partner frequency).

                            Perfect!

I always prefer the window seat. More elbow room, somewhere to rest my head, and nobody bumping the seat walking up and down the aisle. Most flights, I sleep from climb-out to landing and I don't want to be disturbed at all. If it's a long flight, with meal service, then I'll wake up for that, but otherwise...everybody leave me alone, kthxbai.

                              This is a valid concern.
I think they (airlines) should check your weight -just like they do your checked baggage- and seat the Fat Pigs in such a manner that they will not be an obstruction in an emergency.

It doesn't. I was correcting the less than factual information that it's a vaccine for cervical cancer and that cervical cancer isn't contagious. It is, in fact a vaccine for HPV, which is the leading cause of cervical cancer.

Personally, I will most likely get a religious waiver so my daughter doesn't get the vaccine, and I will teach her to use condoms. She can make the choice to get the vaccine later. After all, depending on which vaccine is administered, it only protects against 2 or 3 strains of HPV, not all strains that can cause cervical cancer. I'd much rather teach my children responsibility than to have a false sense of security.
