I'll help anyone with anything, and usually to my own detriment.

I end up helping people WAY too much. I just finished changing the steering knuckle on a friend's son's Jeep YJ, because the last asshat that he took it to broke one of the caliper bolts off and left the caliper connected with one bolt, until It snapped, and the caliper shifter and rubbed the aluminum wheel nearly in half.

I help when I can. Got it from my dad.

Two weeks ago we were driving northbound out of Canton and there was a grassfire. We stopped and helped stomp out what we could until the local volunteer FD showed up, then helped the fireman pull hose off the truck and feed it to him while he knocked down the fire. The land-owner thanked us. The fireman was a complete dick; never said thanks or even acknowledged that I was there.

We seem to know a lot of the same people. Did you ever hang out at the CiCis in Arlington in the late 90s where we'd all meet before streetracing down the 287 access road?

Yep, I had a 91 GT carb'd, nitrous, painted titanium silver with ghost stripes down hood, roof, etc and on welds. I had it out there a few times. The rest of the time I was drunk.

I tend to help if time is permitting. Helped a younger guy a week or 2 ago in a firebird. He said it just died. I helped him push it to the side of the road. I looked under the hood and saw that his negative cable was burnt into. (the jumper wire) Got to looking and saw a crow bar welded to the core support and the other end running across the positive cable to the fuse box. I almost laughed when he reached down to grab it. It was a tad hot. I kicked it loose and tossed to the side. He had a few wires that needed to be replaced.

Depends. I was at Autozone with my kid and my wife walked over to Walgreens. I bought a test light and went back to the car and test my amp. Notice an older mexican guy with his whole brake light assembly hanging off his bumper. He was trying to figure out, how to change the bulb. My wife was not in site so I walked over and showed him and he was very grateful. The end

Off topic, but I find it funny seeing a guy with his car apart for whatever to fix, parked right in front of the sign that says "no working on your vehicle in the parking lot."

I'm guilty of changing wiper blades or a headlight bulb, but the last guy I saw parked in the spt above had the hood open and parts everywhere.

Hmm, don't remember it. The 2 most noticeable cars I had up there were my orange SVO and and my dark green 87 hatch with Centerline autodrags and 1BAD87 on the license plate. A lot of people remember that car when it had VENOM on the windshield from the previous owner.
