I believe this is still a free country where freedom of expression is still allowed and not just that but encouraged. It is a private institution not a public one, funny that most people that complain about this most likely do
not know the lyrics to the Star Spangled Banner. Now me personally I would just boycott that institution all together and tell my friends and family to do the same as it does not confirm with my values.
This wonderful country is dying off little by little. Breaks my heart.
Makes me want to stock up on Rations, Ammo, Clothing/Gear and Weapons for when this country does completely turn to shit and I have to live off the land and defend what is mine by any means possible!
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776
Goshen College sparks a fight over national anthem
Pacifists' choice of 'America the Beautiful' on Mennonite campus doesn't play well with traditionalists
Goshen College in Indiana has decided it will play "America the Beautiful"… (Zbigniew Bzdak, Chicago Tribune)August 25, 2011|By Stacy St. Clair and Brian Hamilton, Tribune reporters
The Star-Spangled Banner may yet wave over Goshen College in Indiana, but no one's going to be singing about it.
The Mennonite campus is dropping the national anthem in favor of "America the Beautiful" before all sporting events, saying the latter song better represents the college's religious values and pacifist tradition.
