Try the original christinas in Double Oak/Flowermound, right down 1171/main street.
Pretty good food, and awesome drink specials.

There used to be a panchos off of 35 and just north of Main. The dirty day labor mexicans would line up for work at the back of the place. Not sure if it's there anymore, but you can't beat their cheese enchiladas.
How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

Abby's Mexican Kitchen. It's authentic, not Tex Mex. Right down to the chips and salsa.

Yes, we probably eat there two to three times a month. They also made it BYOB to try and drum up business. Mario and Abbey are good people. Unfortunately, the location they are in has a history of eating up restaurants and spitting them out. I'm not sure why. They send out coupons in the mailer, but they just don't get as much foot traffic as they like. One of the problems is people who have always eaten Tex Mex don't really like real mexican food. For example, their chips and hot salsa is nothing like what's at a place like El Fenix or On The Border. She stands back there and cuts up corn tortilla and deep fries it. No machine cut mass produced stuff. And people either love it or hate. I'm in the former category.

wow man, I gotta disagree, maybe it was what we had last night, but it tasted like complete dog sheet. My daughter's quesadillas looked more like sausage than beef, the salsa tasted like pace and the beans were no bueno. Guess we got a bad night's batch.
